This weekend is a big software upgrade at work. It’s all hands on deck in the IT department, from Friday night until Saturday or Sunday, and back again early Monday to support any upgrade-related issues that occur.

Bribery is a useful tool. Today’s bribe was the ever-appreciated gift
of Mt. Dew, from a user whom I fixed a VERY strange computer problem for.
My boss took delivery of the bribe, and his only response was “You’re
getting deliveries now? Do we need to have an intervention?”
