There’s a small series of restaurants popping up in a few places across the country called 8oz Burger Bar. They’re unique little neighborhood-style restaurants with a casual atmosphere and plenty of good food. One of them opened up near my apartment last winter, and tonight a friend and I decided we needed to indulge in some excellent burgers (among other things) so off we went.
I started off with an “Island Dream” milkshake, which is basically just a rum delivery system in the guise of a pineapple/vanilla shake:
Meanwhile my friend tried a Blackberry Mojito, complete with fresh blackberries:
Perusing the appetizer menu, we discovered there really is such a thing as Fried Green Tomatoes, and they’re pretty good:
And being a fan of deviled eggs, I also had to try the Smoked Salmon Deviled Eggs:
For the main course, my friend tried out the Slider Sampler, which consists of mini lamb, wild boar, and Kobe beef burgers:
While I went with The Classic 8oz Burger, topped with cheddar and bacon, with a pile of garlic fries on the side:
Great food at a great local place, and by the time we left we were nearly too stuffed with food to walk home.
