What a Week
It’s amazing what a difference a week can make. This time last week, I was sitting at my desk, looking at my 3 fish tanks, knowing that I’d have to sell 2 of them “soon” and getting ready to finish emptying one of them. I was thinking that I could call some apartment complexes I was interested in, and look at a couple sample apartments to get an idea of where I wanted to move to in April or May.
Now, just 7 days later, both of my tanks have been sold, and all the random bits and pieces that go along with having multiple tanks are gone too. Not only did I go look at apartments, I found one that I liked that is available now, and will be moved in by the end of the month. Which means that instead of having 3-5 months to leisurely sort through all my stuff, clean out storage closets, and pack a bit at a time, I now have 3 weeks to figure out how to fit over 1500 square feet worth of stuff into a 1000 square foot apartment. Eeeeek!
And now, if you’ll excuse me, I have (lots (and lots and lots)) of packing to do!
Ugh… I’ve never enjoyed moving. My last move was as close as I’ll ever get I think. I moved from a 2-unit duplex next door into the house I’m in now. No trucks, no movers, pick it up, walk next door, put it down. That I can handle!
