Space is good
Because I store so much media, mostly in the form of TV shows (both DVD and recorded High Definition shows) and movies (again, in DVD and Blu-ray form) I’m always on the lookout for more space. So, when Best Buy, of all places, had a really good price on the new 2TB drive from Western Digital, I went ahead and ordered 2 of them:
They arrived on Monday, and last night and tonight I finally had time to pull out the 2 smaller drives that were being replaced, and put the new drives into my media server. Once the new drives were added to the storage pool, I had over 14TB of available storage:
For those of you keeping track at home, the media server is running Microsoft Windows Home Server, and has 12 physical drives installed.
