Garden Victory

I have regrouped, enlisted reinforcements (in the form of better gardening gloves) and finally ripped out the rest of the Periwinkle vines today!

There are still a few stragglers left that I will need to pull as time goes by, but the worst is done, and the lilies are rescued.

Found:

6 Day Lilies
Many more baby Tiger Lilies than I thought had survived
The battered but possibly still living remains of my tulips
The most certainly lifeless remains of my lavender plant

Now it’s time to plan what I will put in that nice empty space. I’m thinking something simple like Crocuses and Daffodils. And maybe some more tulips.

And now, if you’ll excuse me, I have earned the right to sit on the couch and watch TV for a while. And soak my hands. Ow.
