Random Thoughts
I’m really, really, really tired of the cold. Where the heck is spring already? It looks like a beautiful sunny day today, until you step outside and turn into a popsicle. Just like yesterday. Sun should mean WARMTH darn it!
Having a happy geek moment with a program called Synergy. It allows a keyboard and mouse attached to one computer to control another computer over a network connection. I’ve been using it for a while between the iMac and the server, but the listing was backwards, and my MacBook wasn’t working with it. Today I re-configured it all, so now I can go from the iMac to the MacBook to the server back to the iMac. My mouse goes in a circle!!!
My early birthday present showed up yesterday. I finally ordered the 24-105mm L-series lens I have been drooling over, and had it shipped to work. My boss happened to be the one to sign for it (funny, the UPS signature page lists it delivered to the “secretary.” I guess the boss got a demotion!) and he actually thought about hiding the lens in his office for a while to see how long it took before I went looking for it. As one coworker put it “wow, so he wanted to lose a hand, huh?”
Today I’m working from home, and finally got a chance to go to Seahurst Park in the morning. Won’t be doing that again any time soon. The sun is still low enough that the trees keep the entire beach in shade. Pics turned out as silhouettes of stuff against water, or dark stuff on the bottom with water and sky above. Oh well. I’ll go back tonight when the light is better.
