Loot!
During the month of December, I did my best to hoard my Amazon gift certificates from my Visa reward points, and the ones I got as gifts. And I added the money I got for Christmas to that hoard, as well as the “gift check” I got from work (which is NOT a bonus, oh, no, it’s not!) and the 25% off code I won from American Express.
And once Christmas was over, and I knew what items on my wish list I didn’t get, I headed over to Amazon.com. I picked out a few things on my list that I really wanted, and a few things that weren’t on my list that I really wanted, and a few more things that I needed. And I put them all in my shopping cart, and hit “Check Out.”
And then I waited impatiently while most of my new toys got stuck in the UPS system, which was still a mess from Christmas and bad weather.
But last Friday, everything finally arrived, including the biggest Amazon box I’ve gotten in a while.
I spent a happy few minutes unpacking it all, and it was like having a second Christmas!
Final tally: 8 books, 3 CDs, 2 Blu-rays, 2 TV on DVD seasons, one DVD, one set of flannel sheets, one fuzzy blanket, one package of beef jerky, one AppleCare extended warranty, and one Harmony 670 remote.
So, to those of you who contributed to my addiction, either by providing gift cards or by making a dent in my wish list, thanks!

You’re welcome!
