Montana Standoff
Not a whole lot going on here in Montana, mostly we are just geeking out and shopping and hanging out between the baby’s naps. Today I was hanging out in the living room during yet another baby nap, and noticed a deer wander into the yard across the street. Apparently, this isn’t all that unusual, as the friends I am staying with live near the edge of town, so deer visits are frequent. Since deer don’t often visit my yard in Seattle, I grabbed my camera and took a few pictures as the deer wandered across the street and into the yard here. It was obviously not bothered by my presence, since I was only about 30 feet away. The squirrel gathering fallen apples in the side yard was another matter. He was VERY bothered by the deer, and did his best to discourage it from stealing his apples. At one point, he attacked the deer’s leg (as it was all he could reach) to try to chase it off. This resulted in a Montana Standoff:
And eventually the deer got bored and wandered away.
