Car maintenance

I know very little about cars. What I do know is that regular maintenance is important. Especially maintenance from a shop you can trust. I get my 5000 mile oil changes from a small shop whose owner is a friend of my dad’s. This means I don’t get the usual “girl in a car shop” [...]

Seen on the way to work

Yesterday: A pigeon crossing the road. In the crosswalk. With the proper “Walk” signal. ????
Today: Driving northbound on 4th Ave, I have a green light, but am still a ways back from the intersection. Suddenly, a white Subaru driving eastbound decides he’s tired of sitting at a red light, and guns it through the intersection [...]

Welcome to Idaho

Standing at the top of Lookout Pass, just inside the Idaho/Montana state line. At an elevation of just over 4600 feet, Lookout makes Snoqualmie Pass look like a bunny slope.

Leaving Montana

It’s a beautiful fall day, and I’m headed out of Missoula on the way back to Seattle.

Montana Standoff

Not a whole lot going on here in Montana, mostly we are just geeking out and shopping and hanging out between the baby’s naps. Today I was hanging out in the living room during yet another baby nap, and noticed a deer wander into the yard across the street. Apparently, this isn’t all that unusual, [...]

Missoula

Finally arrived in Missoula. Holy cow that is a long drive. Now it’s time to find dinner and get connected to the Internet.
