Dunk the Boss!
Today is the monthly fundraiser day at work. The fundraiser usually consists of “pay $5 and you can wear jeans” and is donated to a different charity every month. Not terribly annoying, unlike the United Way fundraisers and forced donations that some companies do. Today’s fundraiser was a little different. In addition to a $5 donation to wear jeans, a dunk tank was set up at one of our buildings, and various supervisors rotated through. At 12:30, my boss took his turn. We closed the Help Desk phones, and the entire IT department went over to take turns. Once we discovered the new guy was a ringer, some of us paid for him to take multiple turns. Lucky for the boss it is warm out!

Hmmm….I wonder if the principals at school would be up for something like that. Now THERE Is a fundraiser the kids would be excited about!
August 24th, 2008 at 8:41 amWe actually did this as a fundraiser at my school, part of the fall carnival, I think. It was VERY popular with the students. In fact, the less popular the teacher, the more popular the tank was.
