It’s clean!!
And I have the pictures to prove it.
For the first time in probably two years, my “basement” is clean. I call my main living space the basement, but it’s really half the ground floor of the house, the other half being a two-car garage. With the combination of being my main living area, the amount of stuff I have, the lack of storage space for said amount of stuff, and just plain old laziness, the basement tends to get messy.
But over the past few weeks, I’ve spent my on-call weekends, and some evenings, cleaning out closets and boxes and loading up the truck with piles of stuff for Goodwill. While this weekend was not an on-call weekend, it was a good weekend for staying home and finishing up the cleaning. So while my fish tanks refilled (cause it was tank cleaning day, too) I picked up and put away and moved around the last remaining random stuff that had piled up. When the last tank was filled, and the hose was put away, the floor was actually clean enough to vacuum. And once the floor was vacuumed, everything that had to move for vacuuming went back into it’s proper place.
End result: clean basement!!!

Though I note, now that I have sufficiently recovered from the shock, that there is no picture of a CLEAN DESK that should be in between the front and back half of the room!
