Meglet Rambles On

I tend to wash my car about twice a year, whether it needs it or not-and it does always seem to need it. That’s one of the reasons I chose the “Desert Sand” color when I bought my truck, it hides dirt fairly well. I usually refer to the color as “Shiny Road Dirt.”

When I went home for Mother’s Day back in May, Mom apparently decided it was time for one of those twice yearly washes on my truck. To prove her point, she did this:

Only, I got busy/lazy, and I didn’t wash the truck. So last weekend, I went back for a visit, with an even dirtier truck than before. And Mom decided to emphasize her point a bit more strongly:

On the way home from work today, I had to stop at the gas station. And what do you know, Costco has a fancy automatic car wash.
